Dam Site Lodging is dedicated to providing unforgettable lakeside experiences at Elephant Butte Lake in New Mexico. With a deep appreciation for the area's history and natural beauty, we are committed to offering personalized service, expert guidance, and a seamless lodging journey for every guest.
The Dam Site Historic District is one of the most significant and scenic areas around Elephant Butte Lake. This area, built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, originally supported the construction and operations of Elephant Butte Dam and the National Fish Hatchery. Many of the structures you see today, including the casitas, remain from this era, restored and preserved with care.
